How It Works — GREAT GARDEN TOUR

Here’s how it works…

Pick up an Official Great Gay Garden Tour Map at any of the participating Fire Island Pines retailers or by ordering one here.
In your own time, find your way to each of the participating gardens marked on the map.
Some gardens are indicated with a green garden tag. Point your smart phone camera at the tag and your phone will open a page giving you more information on that garden including an audio tour, photos, a history and brief description.
By participating in The Great Gay Garden Tour you are agreeing to abide by local law, common courtesy, and the Rules of The Great Garden Tour.

All gardens are welcome. Gardeners and gardens of all styles and levels are welcome to participate. Flower gardens are great but so are sculpture gardens, rockeries, ruins, and natural landscapes!
Contact us to let us know you are interested in participating.
We will schedule a quick visit to your garden to explain how it works and set up your garden’s tour page.
We will provide a green garden tag that you can affix to your fence or front gate. This tag identifies your garden as a participant and allows visitors to learn more about your garden.
All participating gardeners are invited to attend the Garden Party to meet other gardeners and community members.
